Meanwhile developing a stronger brushstroke and using more vivid colours, the
artist moves to a diversity of themes like mythological, biblical and political
figures.
Later on into the later 80's and early 90's the artist became obsessed by the
Italian light due to repeating yearly excursions with students to Florence and
Venice like in: "Porta Negra" and "To
and from the light". Then, after having
seen the Italia Renaissance portraits, a series of critical observed heads emerge
"Caligula" and "Philip
2nd of Spain". In the later 90's the angels appear.
The angel wings giving more dynamic possibilities to the compositions and give
the paintings a explosive sensations and becoming more
erotically flavoured...
