About the artist

The artist experienced, looking backwards, his own personal evolution.
From cell-forms below the surface of the cool waters flowering into anemones to amphibians.
From thereon the figures became shape as they developed crawling on the fertile soil. The environment became suddenly hospital and slaughterhouse-like, where the human shapes lay helpless, deformed and tortured in painful and dramatic scenes. Then a period follows with paintings of figures more dynamic; jumping, dancing Almost falling or not yet moving, inspired for example by the famous Dutch choreographer Hans van Manen who in his pure form of human movement has for a long time been a grateful source like for instance: "Tango Solo'1984" and "Next Step", '84-85...
